Bauma 2025 in Munich was a huge success and an absolute must-attend event for all construction machinery enthusiasts, operators, and fans! From April 7th to 13th, the KUHN sales team was on-site to assist our Swiss customers at the Komatsu and Sennebogen booths. It was amazing to see the latest machines and technologies that are helping to drive progress in the construction industry. It definitely left us wanting more!

bauma 2025 in numbers
With 600,000 visitors from over 200 countries and 3,601 exhibitors from 57 nations, bauma 2025 set new standards. Innovations, machines, and solutions were presented on a massive 614,000 m² area, shaping the future of the construction industry in a sustainable way.
Komatsu: The future is now!
Komatsu impressively demonstrated at bauma 2025 how digitalization and electrification can revolutionize the construction industry. A standout was the PC220LCi-12, which with its iMC 3.0 technology and 3D limit control makes operations more efficient and safer. The PC220LCi-12 also saves up to 18% fuel, significantly lowering operating costs.
But Komatsu went further with sustainability by presenting several electric machines, including the PC33E-6 and PC20 Electric, offering emission-free solutions for construction sites. Especially the PC20 Electric impressed with its optimized battery performance, reducing charging and operational efforts.
And there was also the breathtaking Machine Show, where Komatsu demonstrated its machines in full action. The video of the Machine Show provides another great insight into the performance of the machines. Equally impressive was the Formula 1 car, celebrating the partnership between Komatsu and Williams Racing – a true attention-grabber and symbol of performance and innovation.
Not to forget the HD605-10 rigid-frame dump truck, with a 60-ton payload and optimized fuel consumption, making it perfect for transporting heavy materials on large construction sites. And the WA170M-11 wheel loader, which boasts improved hydraulic systems that reduce fuel consumption without sacrificing performance.
Sennebogen: Focus on Sustainability
Sennebogen also demonstrated at bauma how machines contribute to success through sustainability and innovation. Especially notable was the 360 G telehandler, a true all-rounder for recycling and many industrial applications. The 850 G Hybrid material handler, equipped with a Green Hybrid energy recovery system, helps reduce fuel consumption while delivering high performance.
The SENCON control system ensures that Sennebogen machines are easy and safe to operate while simultaneously increasing efficiency and optimizing fuel consumption.
Caterpillar turned 100!
Of course, other well-known manufacturers like Caterpillar, Liebherr, and Volvo were also present at bauma 2025, showcasing plenty of new innovations. Caterpillar, celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, presented the Cat 374 hydraulic excavator. Liebherr showcased the Liebherr R 9800 excavator, while Volvo introduced the EC950F Crawler Excavator and L350H wheel loader. It was impressive to see how each of these manufacturers enriched the construction industry with their own innovations and solutions. And yes: Digitalization and electrification were also omnipresent.
